NEXTWAVE DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORIES OPENS IN WILMINGTON

Wilmington, North Carolina: June 4, 2004– NextWave Diagnostic Laboratories was recently created by several principals from Wilmington Pathology Associates (WPA) in response to a desire by healthcare providers for a higher level of service and accessibility within our community. Medical Direction will be provided by WPA, which has provided anatomic and clinical pathology services to the medical communities of southeastern North Carolina since 1976.

NextWave Diagnostic Laboratories utilizes the latest technology to offer phlebotomy services, STAT testing, and same day results along with a full reference menu. NextWave is a full service, accredited laboratory staffed with a team of highly trained professionals whose approach to offer a high degree of personal attention, affordable testing and strong technical system innovations will advance the caliber of all medicine through clinical laboratory improvements in New Hanover and surrounding counties. With the launch of NextWave, these two organizaions are now able to offer an additional level of care, providing expertise in clinical laboratory medicine from local pathologists.
