NextWave Introduces New Laboratory Manager

Former Account Representative, Nick Strickland was promoted on June 1st, 2010 as the new Laboratory Manager for NextWave Diagnostic Laboratory. Nick began working for NextWave in November 2005 after working with the local hospital in their lab.

Nick graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with his bachelor's degree. He has also received his Master's Degree in Public Health, specializing in Community Health. In addition, Nick also is a certified Phlebotomist by the ASCP. He has Professional Affiliation with the American Society for Pathology and is a Steering Committee member for the Cape Fear Health Policy Council.

Nick grew up in Wilmington, NC and currently resides here with his wife and two sons. In his spare time, he coaches baseball at EA Laney High School where he assisted the team to the 2010 NC State HS Baseball Championship and brought home the title. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
